Ingredients:

500 gr strong flour
2 tsp dried yeast
75 gr caster sugar
Zest of 1 orange
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp salt
200 ml warm milk
75 gr unsalted butter, softened

For the filling:
Garden tales Strawberry jam

For the Syrup:
50 gr caster sugar
50 ml water

Let’s get started!

To make the dough, place all ingredients in a bowl of a stand mixer, except for the butter. And with the hook start mixing on low speed.

Then add the butter slowly as it continues to knead. When the butter is incorporated, knead the dough on high speed for around 7-10 minutes, until it´s elastic and smooth.

Make a ball with the dough, place it in a bowl and cover it and let it proof in a warm place for around 2 hours or doubled in size.

Then place the dough in a floured surface and spread it in a large rectangle using a rolling pin.

Spread the strawberry jam on top of the dough and then roll it from the larger side of the rectangle into a roll.

Cut it in 9 even little rolls and place them with the cut side up on a round buttered pan, and let it rise for more 30 minutes.

Brush the top with egg wash and let it bake on a preheated oven at 180ºC until cooked and golden.

Make the syrup by boiling water and sugar for around 3 minutes and then brush the top of the brioche with it. Let it cool and serve.

Enjoy!
