Ingredients:

Dough:
450 g strong white flour
2 tsp fast-action yeast
1 tsp salt
50 g caster sugar
1 egg (+ 1 egg for wash)
200 ml lukewarm milk
75 g unsalted butter
Zest of 1 orange
Filling:
1 jar Garden Tales Christmas Jam
2 tsp cinnamon

Let’s get started!

Place all the ingredients of the dough, except the butter, in the bowl of your stand mixer and start mixing on low speed.

Gradually add the softened butter and start beating faster for 5-7 minutes. Form a ball with your dough and place it in a greased bowl, cover it and let it proof in a warm place for 2 hours or until it has doubled in size.

Place the dough in a floured surface and make a rectangle using a rolling pin. Spread our Christmas Jam and dust with cinnamon all surface.

Roll the dough starting on the larger size until you get a roll. Make a circle with the roll and attach the sides.

Cut slices on the roll without reaching the center of the circle. Then open each slice to show its surface swirled with the jam.

Place the wreath in a tray lined with baking paper, cover it and let it proof for half an hour.

Brush the wreath with egg wash and bake it in a preheated oven at 180C until golden brown.

Dust it with icing sugar if desired.

Enjoy!
