Home for Christmas!

Fill these delicate biscuits with your favorite Garden Tales Jam”.

425g flour
175g butter
200g caster sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
1 teaspoon baking powder
A pinch of salt
Garden Tales Jam

Let’s get started!

In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar together, mix in the eggs one at a time, along with the vanilla.

In another bowl, sift the flour, baking powder and salt, and add them to the wet ingredients.

Work the ingredients quickly to create a smooth dough, wrap the pastry in cling film, and leave to rest in the fridge for about one hour.

Remove the cling film, divide the dough into two, and shape each half into a disc.

Take one disc of dough and cut it in half. Roll the first quarter out to 0.5 cm thick. Using a 6 or 7 cm biscuit cutter, stamp out circles, dipping the cutter in flour to prevent sticking to the dough.

Put the biscuits on the baking trays, leaving a little space between them. Use a 5cm heart or star shaped biscuit cutter and stamp out hearts in the center of half the rounds.

Repeat the entire process with the remaing dough and bake for 8 to 10 min until lightly golden in an oven preheated to 180°C.

Let them cool for about 5 to 10 minutes. Spread evenly a spoonful of a Garden Tales Jam of your choice over the center of the whole biscuits.

Top with the stamped tops and dust with icing sugar to finish.

Happy Holiday Season!
