What is the difference between jam, preserves and marmalades?

“Let’s find out!”

Jam is always made from whole or sliced fruits, cooked to a pulp with sugar, producing a thick, fruity, spread.

A preserve includes the whole fruit or fruit cut into large sized pieces.

Marmalade is a soft jelly that contains pieces of fruit (usually citrus).
